New Tool to Understand the Gender Insensitivity Dynamics in Post-Conflict

The Global Journal recently reviewed a new, practical tool for practitioners on the issues of gender mainstreaming and post-conflict reconstrution, On the Frontlines: Gender, War and the Post-Conflict Process. The book, co-authored by Fionnuala Ní Aoláin, Dina Francesca Haynes and Naomi Cah,  addresses a wide range of processes from peacekeeping to legal reform and social justice, analyzing the detrimental effects of a lack of gender mainstreaming in each, and proposing ways in which gender analyses can be inserted, ameliorating some of these effects.
