In July 2011, Karen Tse, of International Bridges to Justice, delivered a TED Talk on mechanisms to end judicial torture in civilian criminal justice systems. 95% of torture is used in regular criminal cases as an investigative tool. She offers three mechanisms that can combat the use of torture as an investigative tool. Check out her great video at TED Talks.
